The Neuroscience Teaching Team program is comprised of 3 main modules. They can be done in a single class that is split into rotating groups, with 15-20 minutes per station. Alternatively, two of the modules can be presented together to an entire class in a longer format. The three components are designed to give a basic understanding of how the brain is organized and how it helps us interact with our environment in a number of ways. The first section is a brain anatomy lesson. Section 2 demonstrates how the brain can adapt to differing visual inputs. The third module introduces the sense of kinesthesia, how the brain can sense where the body is in space. This section teaches about muscle spindles and the connections between nerve and muscle.
